The following are the graduation requirements beginning with the class of 2001 from any Chicago Public High School: 4 English 1 Art 3 Social Science (1 year World Studies and 1 year of United States History) 1 Music 3 Science (1 year of Biology + lab and 2 years of a lab science) 2 Physical Education (1 year of PE 1/Health and 1 year of PE 2/Drivers Education) 3 Mathematics (1 year of Algebra, 1 year of Geometry and 1 year of Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry) 2 years of Career Education 2 years of the same Foreign Language 3 Electives 24 Total Annual Units Each subject is .50 units per semester passed. All students are required to complete 40 hours of service learning. |
